now

(this is a now page, and that’s about it)

What am I doing right now, exactly?

Well, I can’t sit in front of my computer and update this website to say… whatever I’m doing now.

But if you really want to know what I’m probably doing right now:

  1. Check the current date and look up “current Indochina Time” on Google.
  2. Look at the following table:
Monday to Saturday Sunday
12:00 AM – 6:00 AM: Sleeping 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM: Sleeping
~7:00 AM – 12:00 PM: At school 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Doomscrolling/eating
1:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Probably at school, or at home, or doing some weird stuff 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Sleeping. My body wants more sleep, even though 290 hours of sleeping is bad for you.
7:00 PM – 11:00 PM: Doing weird stuff 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM: Also doing weird stuff

Keep is mind this is what I’m probably doing, and cannot be accurate 100% of the time. Whenever I’m not sleeping or at school, I might be doing something goofy.

Wait… didn’t Derek Sivers told you that you should use a “now” page as if you were telling a friend that you haven’t met 1 year ago what you’re currently up to?

Well… he never said that it has to be related to that.

What happens when this page doesn’t satisfy Derek’s requirements? Visitors will be dissatisfied? That’s up to them.
People are so good at obeying the rules of a “now” page that nobody even bothered trying to violate them. I’ll be the first to do so, then.

By the way, Derek, if you’re seeing this website, please don’t make a rule that is something around the line of “Failure to include such content in your now page will result in 25 years of imprisonment”. That’s just mean.

So… if you have a friend that you haven’t seen in a year, what would you say to them? That is the purpose of a “now” page!

I have no friends, and will never find one. Thank you for asking.

(Before any of my so-called friends come here and write a 500-word essay derogating me, I view such friends as acquaintances. Acquaintances are not friends.)
